Can’t imagine why that’s your dividing line when the alternative is one vetted by a billionaire exploiter before publication.

It’s not a line. I need a combination of multiple sources in order to properly sus out the truth. There is independent journalism. That exists. I don’t know if it exists in North Korea, which is why I’m asking for a source to add to my rss feed. Nobody has given me one yet. All I want is a news source so I can stop getting my information from the imperial core, and no one has given me one yet.

How can that be possible? There are plenty of news sources here that aren’t backed by corporations nor governments. Obviously we have a problem with bias in media globally, but it’s not ALL media. I’m more looking for the North Korean equivalent of, like, Counterpunch, Common Dreams, Real News Network, or hell, even Democracy Now.

Those are all linked with corporations, though, with few exceptions. The DPRK has a planned economy, the means of production and distribution are socially owned. Thus, “independence” is in reality private ownership. Your decision to distrust socially owned media is more of a personal choice, but there’s a lot to learn from it.
