Software produced by agentic workflows almost inevitably reproduces copyrighted works for common functions like database access without the person using the LLM knowing. Pretty sure you misremember, as Lemmy.cafe also requires registration to be used. There are some independant frontends (web-clients) that can be used with different Lemmy instances, but for password security reasons I strongly recommend to only use the ones hosted by the instance you have your account on, because otherwise you are basically sharing your password with whoever runs that frontend.

Uhm, you seem to really misunderstand why Lemmy is decentralized like it is and just want to replicate the terrible centralized communities found on Reddit.

It is no problem to find the right community for your interest right now. There are just overall not that many people using Lemmy. What you propose might seem benign in the short term, but will cause massive issue in the long run (see Reddit).

I sure hope LLMs are not used to develop Lemmy currently. Haven’t checked in a while, maybe I should do 🤔

Omemo 0.3 is perfectly fine and on the level of what most other e2ee apps do. There is a non-sense troll article claiming otherwise, but that one has been long debunked (however the author deleted the comments correcting it 🤦).

Omemo 0.8 and later (including a soon available post quantum encryption variant) is an improvement beyond that, which is of course not bad to have, but few clients support it so far.

Can’t say anything about the first one, but the second one is generally reliable and up to date. Maybe you are on a strange institutional network or public wifi that blocks the standard XMPP ports?

This is quite odd, can you give some example of clients and servers that don’t work together?
