It doesn’t work with SD cards.
I tried this and unfortunately it didn’t play nice with Xiaomi’s battery saving nonsense (despite doing all the usual stuff to prevent it).
I’ve run it, and I’m not clear on the point of it.
My guess is to replace Syncthing-Fork which had a surprise ownership change a while back.
I think it existed before but gained a lot more attention when that drama happened.
Yea, that’s the only bit I knew of, otherwise it seems to be a less capable version.
I use a lot of what ST-Fork does - it moved sync rules into individual sync jobs, which I really need.
Seems like the bruha has settled down at this point.
But I keep Resilio around on all my devices just in case. And if I have to I could revert to power hungry tools like Foldersync.
It’s only meant to manage when syncthing is running and notify about running state. Native syncthing webui interface is good and I don’t understand why some apps bother to implement their own.
Personnally, no matter if it’s on my phone ot desktop, I only use webui. So on Android it’s exactly what I need.On android, imho, there is only 2 alternatives : marcus syncthing tray and syncthing fork.
I would say first one is too complex and don’t have a good UI for phone.
Second one is now developed after original dev (catfriend) handed it’s repo. Communication about this change has been quite obscure and circonstances are not clear, especially when new owner was without previous history. A lot of people think it’s shaddy. It has been several months now and I don’t know what’s the consensus now!Sorry, How do you use syncthing without an app?
Syncthing has it’s own web interface which any web browser can connect to.
