I’m not even saying that China is bad for a nation state. I’m just saying that bad shit is happening, state-sanctioned, in every nation state.
I’ve shown people drone footage, they don’t believe it. No evidence is enough for people who already made up their mind.
No, I got enough reasonable-looking but ultimately dubious canned responses. It’s weird that drone footage and other videos are enough to convince some people of bad things happening in countries they don’t like while the same level of evidence doesn’t have the same sway for bad things happening in countries they like.
I get that socialism can’t be perfect in a world so shackled by capitalism. I don’t get why some people convince themselves that China is a perfect example of socialism.
I’m really not in the mood to watch Very Convinced individuals try to e.g. ridicule violence protest suppression by calling it “tinyman square”.
Did you make this just to discredit me by vague association with a stoner hope looking dude?
I get where they’re coming from, China certainly gets a lot right. But some people here are denying that any of the bad parts exist and just unquestioningly glaze the government of a nation state.
Like why do they simp for a country so hard that the only thing separating them from a nationalist in that country is the fact that they never actually participated in its culture and have even less of a clue about the reality of living there?
Wrong, I’m an anarchist. I don’t believe any nation state has a great track record, and I’ve been 100% correct in this so far.

It’s pretty funny how thin-skinned the mods of a few instances are. My takes aren’t even controversial, they’re just not wanted.

2·8 days agoUnless you put stake into right-wing ideologues who hate Rust because it has many cat girl developers, there is no drama. And for the record, you shouldn’t, the hate peddlers make your life worse.
And great proof that Rust is free and independent is the fact that they still (carefully) do breaking changes (e.g. the slow rollout of the never type). If the corporate world would dictate its development, it’d never break existing code.
